The testnet is public and permissionless. Anyone can connect, deploy contracts, and use Ghost Protocol.

Deployed Contracts

The core Ghost Protocol contracts are deployed and verified:

  • GhostVault — Main entry point for vanish (commit) and summon (reveal)
  • GhostCommitmentTree — Merkle tree tracking for commitments
  • GhostNullifierRegistry — Double-spend prevention
  • GhostRedemptionVerifier — Zero-knowledge proof verification

All contracts are verified on the block explorer and open source.

Available Applications

Web Portal — A browser-based interface for using Ghost Protocol. Available at portal.ghostcoin.com.

Mobile App — Native iOS and Android applications with NFC support for offline value.

Developer Documentation — Complete documentation for building on Ghost Protocol. Available at docs.umbraline.com.

What "Testnet" Means

Testnet status means:

The system works. All core functionality is operational and tested.

Tokens have no value. GHOST on testnet is not real money. It exists for testing purposes.

Changes may occur. The protocol may be updated, upgraded, or reset before mainnet.

Risk is limited. If something breaks, no one loses real value.

Testnet is appropriate for:

  • Learning how Ghost Protocol works
  • Building and testing applications
  • Auditing and security research
  • Evaluating the system before mainnet

Testnet is not appropriate for:

  • Storing real value
  • Production applications
  • Anything where loss would be a problem

Mainnet Timeline

Mainnet launch depends on:

  1. Security audits. Independent security firms must review and approve the contracts and circuits.

  2. Battle testing. The testnet must demonstrate stability under realistic conditions.

  3. Ecosystem readiness. Bridge infrastructure, tooling, and documentation must be complete.

  4. Community feedback. Issues discovered during testnet must be addressed.

No specific date is committed. The timeline is driven by readiness, not marketing.

What Is Not Yet Built

To be transparent about current limitations:

Multi-chain deployment. Ghost Protocol currently runs only on Umbraline. Deployment to other chains is planned but not complete.

Full decentralization. Some operational components have centralized dependencies. These will be decentralized before mainnet.

Advanced applications. Some applications described in this whitepaper are not yet implemented. They are enabled by the protocol but require additional development.

This whitepaper describes the protocol's capabilities, not its current feature set.
